Geoff Boyes, Former Johnson & Johnson Executive, Joins IYIA Technologies Board

SAN MARCOS, Calif., (October 17, 2005) — IYIA Technologies, Inc., a San Marcos-based medical device company, today announced that Geoffrey B. Boyes has joined its Board of Directors. Boyes brings to the board 30 years of experience with Johnson & Johnson, most recently as general manager, international, for LifeScan Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company that is the world leader in blood glucose self monitoring products used daily by diabetics. After leaving Johnson & Johnson, Boyes founded Bilton International LLC in 1999 to provide general, strategic, and specific business advice to private and closely held growth companies with primary emphasis in the life sciences. In addition to his current duties as president of Bilton International, Boyes serves on the board of the Tech Coast Angels Investment Group, San Diego branch, and as a board member or advisor to a number of local companies.

IYIA Technologies was founded in 2004 to develop and market the Wound Treatment System (formerly named MISTY™), a proprietary, patent-pending device for treating patients with slow healing foot wounds, primarily diabetic foot ulcers. The Wound Treatment System has been 510k-cleared by the FDA and is expected to enter the market in early 2006 after completing clinical trials underway in San Marcos and Santa Ana, Calif. "Geoff's background brings IYIA outstanding expertise in marketing medical products, specifically in the diabetic sector.
